About this event

Do you have old magazines, vintage zines, or leftover craft supplies? We are gathering materials for a community Collage Poetry project that will be turned into a public exhibition.

What is Collage Poetry? Collage Poetry weaves together existing text and visual fragments such as magazine cutouts, newspaper snippets, book jackets, zines, school reports/papers, and even non-paper materials (yarn, ribbon, glitter) to form a new, layered work of art. Check out examples from the Alice Notley Artworks collection , like Alone - I Pour a Cup or Vacuum .

What to Donate: We are seeking materials in any language, including:

• Magazines and newspapers

• Book jackets and zines

• Old school reports or papers

• Mixed media (yarn, ribbon, fabric scraps, etc.)

Where to Donate: Donations can be dropped off at the collection boxes located in the Service Hubs at Geisel Library and WongAvery Library during each building’s open hours.

• View Geisel’s hours

• View WongAvery’s hours (note: WongAvery is closed on Saturdays)

Note: All donations are final and will not be returned. Please ensure all donated papers, reports, or documents are free of sensitive or personal information. We kindly ask that all donations be clean and free of mold, odors, or pests. For safety reasons, please do not donate hazardous materials, including broken glass, chemicals, or sharp metal objects.
