- ➤ San Diego County’s unemployment rate dropped from 4.7 percent in January to 4.5 percent in February, according to state data. Nonfarm employment increased by 1,800 jobs overall even as losses occurred in trade, transportation and private education sectors. The Coast News Group
- ➤ Gas prices in San Diego County dropped slightly today to $5.882 a gallon, marking nine consecutive days of decline per AAA and Oil Price Information Service data. Experts note that if oil prices drop further and California supplies remain stable, pump prices may continue to fall. The Coast News Group
