On June 12th, fire crews from Carlsbad, Encinitas and San Marcos battled the 40-acre Claro Fire near Denk Mountain, forcing evacuations along Rancho Santa Fe Road and San Elijo Road.
The fire was controlled by 5 p.m. — evacuation orders were lifted by 5:30 p.m.— and no structures were damaged.
