- ➤ San Marcos officials and the North County Transit District report that the NCTD+ microtransit pilot—operating for over 15 months in a 14-mile zone—has grown with 25,700 boardings and lowered fares based on rider feedback. The service now runs weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. using a fleet of 10 vans and a dedicated app for booking. The Coast News Group
