- ➤ Palomar College board removed an anti-racism policy on Tuesday after a 4-2 vote amid concerns that it exposed the institution to legal risk—board president Jacqueline Kaiser said the change was needed to preserve the college's safety. Faculty, students and community members opposed the decision, warning that scrapping the policy might erode trust in the college's commitment to fair treatment and equity while a subcommittee will address the concerns.
