Casa de Amparo has partnered with UC San Diego Health & UC San Diego School of Medicine to offer in-person psychiatric care for youth in San Marcos, with Dr. Emily Troyer named chief medical officer to build trust in treatment, while a 20-bed facility is planned for 2028.

On Saturday, Palomar College football team won 24-21 in overtime over No. 20 El Camino with a 43-yard field goal by Carson Beard — the win came after Tanner Doyle recovered a fumble, and the Comets now prepare for three regular-season games.
