- ➤ Palomar professor David Hamilton led the USA Deaf men's basketball team to win gold at the Tokyo Deaflympics on Nov. 25 by beating Ukraine 69 to 59. His coaching ended a 16-year drought as he guided the team through four training camps before the games. The Coast News Group
