About this event
Author Clay Hoffman will tell the true story of how a group of Union raiders commandeered a Confederate locomotive in Georgia in April 1862 and attempted to ride it north to Chattanooga while doing as much damage as possible to the Confederate railroad. It was a bold attempt that had the potential of bringing an early end to the Civil War. Many of the Union raiders became the first recipients of the Medal of Honor.
