About this event
This Intermediate Ballet class is for dancers with a confident, established ballet foundation who are ready to explore more complex combinations while developing musicality, coordination, strength, and artistry. The curriculum offers a thoughtful increase in challenge, giving dancers the preparation and training to progress without the pace or pressure of an advanced or accelerated class. Class moves at a moderate pace and assumes a working knowledge of foundational ballet vocabulary and technique. Beginner basics are not retaught; instead, dancers build on their existing foundation through combinations and steps appropriate to the intermediate level. The focus is always on progress, not perfection. Come ready to challenge yourself, enjoy the process, and keep building on what you already know. A little ballet class culture goes a long way, too. If you’re newer to the level or still building strength and confidence, begin toward the back and allow more experienced dancers to lead combinations and demonstrate the flow of class. As you become more comfortable with the pace and choreography, you’ll naturally begin moving forward and joining earlier groups. It’s part of the rhythm of ballet class and helps everyone feel comfortable, supported, and able to move safely. Dress code: Athleisure or ballet attire with flat ballet shoes. Pointe work is permitted only for working professional dancers.
