Illustrious Alumni Awards: San Diego

About this event

As UC San Diego enters a new era of Homecoming, join campus leadership for an unforgettable evening at the new Joan and Irwin Jacobs Celebration Hall, where we will celebrate the remarkable achievements of our 2026 Illustrious Alumni Award honorees.

Returning to San Diego and kicking off Homecoming week in style, this signature celebration brings together alumni, campus leadership and friends of the university to honor alumni whose accomplishments embody the excellence, innovation and impact of the Triton community.

This year's distinguished honorees represent extraordinary achievements across business, philanthropy, the arts, advocacy and innovation. We are proud to recognize entrepreneurial real estate mogul Marc Brutten ’79, transformational community builder Patricia Brutten ’83, visionary arts leader Debby Goosenberg Buchholz ’84, inspirational women's leadership advocate Marina L. Marrelli ’82 and trendsetting global retailer David N. Price, MIA ’17.

Raise a glass alongside fellow alumni, campus leaders and distinguished guests as we celebrate these extraordinary Tritons and the spirit of curiosity, discovery and achievement that defines UC San Diego.

Guests will enjoy feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, inspiring stories, memorable entertainment and special moments throughout the evening. Seating is limited, and this signature Homecoming event is expected to reach capacity. Reserve your place today.
